Arborist report services

Council planning application reports
Regardless of the size of your proposed property development, most councils now require a detailed tree report prepared in line with AS4970-2009, Australian Standard – Protection of trees on development sites. Treemap can assist you with this requirement with over 10 years experience in this process.

Tree pruning and removal permit reports
Many councils now have local laws or protective legislation for trees and a tree report is often necessary to prune or remove a tree. Treemap has extensive experience in this process and can provide an efficient service to cater for these requirements.

Tree surveying and inventories
Dean Simonsen of Treemap has designed, developed, coordinated and conducted some of the largest and most significant urban tree surveys in Australia. The list of clients includes Botanic Gardens, capital cities and major regional centres. Whatever the size or scale of the project, Treemap Arboriculture can advise or develop an approach that suits the client.

 practical urban forest solutions

Dean Simonsen of Treemap has been involved in horticulture and arboriculture for 26 years.  He studied at the University of Melbourne and was employed as a climbing arborist throughout the 1990’s, working for and with local government, as well as with private companies.  Towards the end of the 1990’s Dean was awarded a management role with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne.  This position further stimulated his interest in tree management strategies for broader landscapes.  Since then, Dean has worked as a consultant on a broad range of projects that involve management challenges for single trees ranging up to public tree populations of one million trees or more.  The diversity of  Dean’s background has allowed him to provide clients with the most appropriate tree management solutions.
